About the Client: Our client is a prominent financial services firm based in London, renowned for delivering comprehensive financial solutions to a diverse clientele. They are seeking a skilled Interim Financial Accountant to support their finance team during a period of transition.​Accountancy Capital

Role Overview: The Interim Financial Accountant will collaborate closely with the Group Financial Accountant, overseeing both management and financial accounting activities. This includes preparing monthly management reports, year-end statutory reports, and liaising with auditors and various internal departments such as Treasury, Legal, and Operations. The role also involves enhancing finance processes, providing insightful reporting and analysis, and ensuring efficient workflows.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly management reports, including group consolidation and cash flow statements.​
  • Statutory Compliance: Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory reports and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.​Robert Half
  • Transaction Monitoring: Oversee day-to-day transactional processing and review month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of finance processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.​
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and Operations to ensure cohesive financial management.
Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, ACMA) with proven experience in financial accounting within the financial services sector.​Robert Half

  • Proficiency in financial reporting, group consolidation, and cash flow analysis.​
  • Experience in liaising with auditors and managing statutory reporting requirements.​
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.​
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various departments and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
