Job Title: Fractional Financial Controller
Location: London, UK (Hybrid/Remote Options Available)

We are a dynamic and fast-growing wholesaler in the automotive sector, supplying a broad range of vehicle parts and accessories across the UK and Europe. As we scale our operations, we’re seeking a seasoned Fractional Financial Controller to bring financial clarity, structure, and strategic oversight to support our continued growth.
As a Fractional Financial Controller, you will work closely with senior leadership to provide high-level financial management, improve financial processes, and ensure compliance and accuracy in all financial reporting. You will bring a strategic mindset while remaining hands-on with day-to-day financial operations.
Oversee and manage financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasting, and budgeting
Implement and optimise financial systems, controls, and processes suitable for a scaling wholesale business
Work with external accountants and auditors to ensure statutory compliance, VAT returns, and annual filings
Provide financial insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making and profitability tracking
Review and streamline stock and inventory accounting processes in line with industry best practices
Support margin analysis, pricing decisions, and cost control initiatives
Liaise with banks, lenders, and funding providers as required
Assist in the preparation of board packs and investor reporting
Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Head of Finance in a wholesale, distribution, or automotive-related business
Strong understanding of inventory and stock control in a high-volume environment
Experience with accounting systems (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or ERP systems)
Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and flexibly, with excellent communication skills
