We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a dynamic and growing travel agency, based in the heart of London, seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager to take the lead on all financial operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional looking to make a real impact within a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.

About the Role:

As Finance Manager, you will report directly to the Managing Director and oversee a small finance team. You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, improving systems and processes, and supporting strategic decision-making. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and year-end financial statements

  • Oversee budgeting and cash flow planning, with regular reporting to the leadership team

  • Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and regulatory bodies

  • Ensure compliance with VAT, HMRC regulations, and industry-specific financial standards

  • Lead improvements in financial systems and controls, especially across booking and CRM platforms

  • Provide commercial insight and financial analysis to support growth strategies

  • Support contract negotiations with suppliers, partners, and service providers

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

  • Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager or Financial Controller role

  • Previous exposure to the travel, hospitality, or leisure industry highly desirable

  • Strong working knowledge of Xero, Sage, or similar accounting systems

  • Excellent Excel skills and financial modelling capabilities

  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-changing environment

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
