Responsibilities

This well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager or Director to lead and grow its corporate tax offering. The firm services a diverse client base including fast-growth tech businesses, R&D-led start-ups, and owner-managed SMEs across East Anglia and the wider UK.

This is a strategic hire with partnership potential for the right candidate.

Qualifications
  • Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, providing advisory and compliance services.
  • Deliver high-level tax advice on matters including group structuring, M&A, R&D, international expansion, and employee share schemes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, overseeing their development and reviewing work.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Identify opportunities for tax planning and business development.
  • Collaborate closely with audit, accounts, and personal tax teams for a joined-up service delivery.
Job Benefits
  • ACA/ACCA and/or CTA qualified.
  • Significant experience in corporate tax, ideally within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to explain complex issues clearly to clients.
  • Commercial awareness and confidence in client relationship management.

  • Open to applicants looking for either a Manager-level or Director-level role, depending on experience and aspirations.
